Nice Daddy

While Olivia and Evan played together downstairs this past Saturday afternoon, I decided to catch an episode of a Chinese TV series I have been watching.

Evan happened to come in while I was watching a scene which involved domestic violence. Worrying what might go through his little head after he saw a man (the husband) hitting a young woman (the wife) on TV, I felt the need to tell him that it was not okay for people to do that.

So I said to him: "See, Evan, he is not nice. It is not right for him to hit other people."

"Yeah, and Daddy is nice. Daddy doesn't do that to you."

Wow, that was some advanced thinking as nobody told him (and he doesn't understand Chinese) that was a husband and a wife on TV :).
