The second hand runs too fast
tick tock, tick tock
Noisy and vexing 

The minute hand goes quickly too
rush and nervous 
only the hour hand is good
creeping steady and leisurely

I love living a slow life
select to stay with the hour hand
lying flat on it
even feeling unmoving 
comfortable and soothing 

However, when the New Year's bell sang
the second hand
minute hand
hour hand
and my hands 
all arrived at 00:00 hour Jan 1, 2022 
at the same time 
I don’t understand why 
was that?
