Amy Coney Barrett 成為最高法院大法官後，最高法院以6：3的比例傾向保守派。如果Chief Justice John Roberts 不做出一些調整，在今後數十年中，不僅他在最高法院大法官中的領導地位變得無足輕重，而且，因為斷案結果的可預測性，美國最高法院也將在美國三權分立的政府框架下成為一個符號, 或共和黨／保守勢力的橡皮圖章，就如中國大陸的人民代表大會。
