『道德經 第十八章 』（大道廢，有仁義）

 第十八章

 

【原文】

大道廢，有仁義；慧智出，有大偽；六親不和，有孝慈；國家昏亂，有忠臣。

 

【譯文】

大道被拋棄了，才彰顯出仁義。智巧出現了，才會產生虛偽狡詐。父子、兄弟、夫妻不和的時候，才會顯出孝慈；國家昏亂的時候，才會出現忠臣。

 

English Translation

When the great Tao is rejected, humanity and justice arise.
When wisdom comes, great falsity arises.
When family members cannot live in harmony, filial piety and compassion arise.
When the nation is in chaos, loyal officials arise.
