Flea Market

Today I visited a flea market near the great Smokey Mountain. It was relatively a short highway drive from where I stayed. My car came to a full stop in a gravel parking lot at the end of a short winding road. It was relatively a big flea market that I have ever visited. White tents were set up along the gravel road. All kinds of small items were displayed in small boxes on plain long tables. Anything from socks, hats and souvenirs were on sale. In the center of the flea market there were buildings with air condition. Inside, stores were separated by the fabric materials and formed aisles and corridors. More expensive items such as paintings, antiques and clothes were on display.
I really did not plan to buy anything and only came here just to look around and spend the sunny afternoon outdoor. The goods were really cheap and tempertation was there after seeing them. I ended up with a few items that I thought I might use in the future. After a hour in the flea market, I felt tired and ready to leave. As I sat on one of the empty tables near the exit, I heard a voice coming from across the ailse behind one of the table stands, "everything one dollar." How cheap it was. But when I glanced through the items from far, they were over-the-counter medicine. Some of the packaging boxes were wored or broken. I saw a black lady asked her hubby for a few dollars to buy a couple of boxes of cold medicine. Those cold medicines would sell for 5 dollars or more a piece in a grocery store or drug store. But are they safe or effective when you need most?
I looked down on the plastic bag that I carried and now I saw it was full of junk! I walked out of the flea market with a clear thought. The flea market is only for occasional visit. I still love cleanness in the malls and department stores where I can enjoy the best of this world that can offer and I can afford.
發哥,記得你說的話,現在已經是下個星期了。嘿嘿~~
