最新戰報2020/01/05：聯署國會，要求參議員布萊克本正式道歉

緊急動員，所有在美華人同胞，在2021年1月11日之前收集到一萬個簽名！

2020年12月3日，田納西州聯邦參議員瑪莎·布萊克本發表了以下推文：

“中國有5000年的作弊和盜竊曆史。有些東西永遠不會改變...”。

 

針對這一赤裸裸的種族主義歧視性言論，美國華人聯合會United Chinese Americans和全美華裔反歧視大聯盟 Chinese Americans Anti-Racism Coalition 同時於2020年12月中旬發起向美國國會抗議請願，要求布萊克本參議員應在參議院誠懇地向全體在美華裔社區道歉。

 

截止美國東部時間2021/01/05中午12點，來自超過40個州有106個團體(附名單)和將近3300個人簽名。

 

另外，田納西州的華人社區也在進行聯署抗議活動，Tennessee Chinese American Alliance，80-20National Asian American PAC and UCA 將在2021/01/10星期天在田納西州三家主要報紙刊登抗議廣告。

 

在美國，沒有一個政客敢如此冒犯其他的少數族裔，例如猶太裔，非洲裔，拉丁裔，等等。而在美國曆史上，更沒有其他族裔被單挑出來，聯邦立法排斥禁止入境，唯有1882年的排華法案是例外。事實上，這個白人參議員Blackburn的推文比2013年ABC 的Kimmel 事件性質更惡劣，長遠影響更嚴重。眾所周知，目前我們在美華裔社區正在麵臨越來越嚴重的種族歧視言行。在日常生活中，針對在美華人的“滾回中國去”的事件，層出不窮，屢屢發生，例如2016年10月9日紐約時報的一位華裔記者，2020年10月30日CNN的一位華裔記者。

 

因此，本聯盟強烈呼籲所有在美華裔社區的成員，無論組織還是個人，無論背景，無論黨派，立刻團結起來，參與這次聯署行動，捍衛我們在美華裔社區的整體形象，捍衛每一個在美華裔的求學工作，安居置業，創業發展的平等機會。

 

讓我們緊急動員，無論男女老少，在2021年1月11日之前收集到超過一萬個簽名，然後向新一屆國會遞交這份公開信，要求布萊克本參議員在參議院向在美華裔社區道歉。
