《家長座談》讀書筆記

Inch by inch, little by little 一寸一寸,一點一點 (循序漸進)

You feel…because…你感覺……, 因為……(引導孩子表達情緒)

Different people have different needs…not same people need same thing at the same time…每個人的需要都不同,並不是每個人在同一個時間需要同樣的東西 (解釋其他人有的東西,未必對你有用,或是你也一定要有)

Call children by their names…or “daughter” (稱呼孩子的大名,或是直呼她/他 女兒/兒子,培養獨立自信)

Check it out inside 查看裏麵 (鼓勵孩子仔細觀察,家長不過多參與)

What’s your goal? 你的目標是什麽?(引導孩子樹立目標)

Make a picture in your mind…(positive picture) 想象一個畫麵(積極的,成功的)(引導孩子積極的心理暗示)

What do you attribute that to? What do you do? (efforts and hard work)…是什麽導致了…?你做了什麽?(培養自信和奮鬥精神)

Too much praise, too much of a good thing. 太多表揚不好.

Moderate praise empowers children enough to feel confident and to love learning。適度的表揚已經足夠培養孩子的自信和對學習的熱愛。

It’s better to avoid terms like brilliant, perfect, genius, best, etc. instead use good workers, bright, creative, kind or attractive. 表揚人或作品時,盡量不要使用傑出的,完美的,天才的,最好的之類的詞匯;應該使用生動的,創新的,善良的或是引人注目的。

Be sure to insist that they work and play alone for a little time each day so that they can feel the fun of learning and they don’t become dependent on praise. 堅持每天有一小段時間,讓孩子單獨學習或玩耍,從而孩子可以感覺到學習的樂趣,而不依賴他人的表揚。

Empower children with the power to be a child. Adultized children may suffer from the feelings of insecurity and powerlessness when given too much adult status. 鼓勵孩子像個孩子。早熟的孩子,被給予成人的地位或角色,就會覺得不安全和無能力。

Too much power and freedom can be frightening. 對於孩子來說,太多的權力和自由令他們害怕。

They may feel put down in classroom or with peers when they are not given adult status。(習慣了成人般的角色之後),在學校裏,在同齡人中,孩子得不到大人般的地位,就會感覺到被忽視。

They are at the risk of dethronement band become attention seekers when new members arrive。當有新成員時,他們會不斷尋求他人的注意,還可能感覺自己是被廢棄的君主。

They want to run your house, too much power corrupts, they may become continual arguers who quarrel about everything. They believe if they provide sufficient reason, they are always right. 被給予太多的權力,孩子就想要統治家庭成員。他們會持續地爭論,而且相信隻要有足夠理由,他們總會是對的。
