Running on Low Battery
After turning mid-aged, my body started to show aging signs gradually. From now on, not only the time, the body and energy are also need to be monitored and managed. When there are days I feel down, it is like a machine running on low battery. The indicator is the speed at which I climb the stairs out of the subway station near work. Today, it is fairly slow. How do I survive days like this? Get organized and be mindful.
1. Slow down. Running costs more energy than walking. Talk slowly, type slowly, think slowly.
2. Cut down unnecessary activities. Quit meetings and social talks. Have less thinking or brain works.
3. Rest more. Whenever possible, take breaks and a 5-10 minutes tap at lunch time.
