漫步長島4：薰衣草農場 Lavender By the Bay

看過範德比爾莊園，接著趕路東行。預定了六點的輪渡，遲到玩完。

車子開出不久，漸漸接近長島尖尖的orient point，路兩旁葡萄園一個緊挨一個，不由讓人產生錯覺，俺們這是在中西部的大道上狂奔嗎？



後來上船前遇到一個老太太，來自紐約州喬治湖，這次來參加親戚們的家族活動，這條路她跑多了，知道從前的樣子。老太太說以前大多是農場，現在酒莊居多。為嘛，紐約客的花園酒館麽。

長島開出了中西部的味道，快馬加鞭，很快GPS指示到達目的地。右邊的進出口實在不起眼，以致俺們飛快錯過入口。打個U-Turn拐進去，裏麵豁然開朗。對於什麽都慢半拍的俺們，看來這次是早了半拍




雖不是全盛期，氣場也是杠杠的









養蜂，特理解。前次去本地一個薰衣草農場，正值鼎盛花期，把那些成群結隊的小蜜蜂忙得夠嗆，想插個隊在花叢中捏一張，蜜蜂們跟俺搶地盤。





納悶去過的薰衣草農場都有一個雞舍，雖然羨慕這群幸福的雞，待到花花爛漫時，它們叢中叫，非常愜意的雞生。但也表示不解，於是上網搜，搜來這一段：

有點意思，母雞下蛋，似乎天經地義，其實也是一份努力一份付出一份收獲，它們也會有難度有壓力，需要緩解，而薰衣草貌似很得雞心。
