金蓮昨天葡萄架下春光肆泄，忘乎所以，回屋後，發現繡鞋少一隻。 小童偷光,  拾繡鞋給了西門慶的女婿陳經濟,  陳經濟拿著她的繡鞋換取西門慶給金蓮的方巾，繡鞋與方巾都是情物， 西門慶是丈夫， 陳經濟是女婿加情人， 金蓮同意信物暗換。

Jin had so much fun from the grape vine game yesterday, she didn’t realize she lost one shoe until the next day, a boy peeked her crazy wildness , then picked up the shoe, passed it to Chen Jing-ji, Ximen’s son-in-law, Chen stopped by with Jin’s shoe in hand exchanging for her handkerchief.  Shoes and handkerchief are both symbol of love.  Jin has Ximen as husband, and Chen as son-in-law and lover,  Jin agrees to secretly exchange the love symbols.
