柏林—柏林牆

這次在柏林，不能好好地看看殘存的柏林牆，一路上讀讀隨處可見的在柏林發生的事件描述，挺可惜的；如果是我一個人在柏林，那會除了睡覺，其它時間都在大街小巷晃著。

在殘存的柏林牆那兒，看著兩邊的隔牆，以及中間的崗哨和鐵絲網，以及跳樓逃跑的人的錄像，總覺得心頭發酸：人們竟然能想到在同一個城市用一堵牆來隔離同類，並且隔離時間長達28年之久；而這牆不光隔離了人，也隔離了心。牆兩邊的人在不同的體製下生活，其結果是連思維都變了。

其實，柏林是民主與專製體質的一個活生生的試驗場，其結果是什麽，誰贏了，大家也都看到了。

這就是我去柏林想看到的！O非常熱心地帶我去DRR博物館，看看以前東德的生活方式，我卻沒多少熱情，因為以前就生活在那樣的國度。

美國總統說得好：民主製度並不完美，但它至少不要用牆來把人給圈起來。

我想代表我的同胞說，他們生活在大西洋彼岸的許多英裏之外，離你們很遠，他們為能夠與你們分享而感到最大的自豪，即使來自距離，過去18年的故事。我知道沒有哪個城鎮、城市在被圍困 18 年之後仍然充滿活力和力量，以及西柏林這座城市的希望和決心。雖然這堵牆是共產主義製度失敗的最明顯和生動的展示，但全世界都可以看到，我們對此並不滿意，因為正如你們的市長所說，它不僅是對曆史的冒犯，而且是對對人類的冒犯，分離家庭，分裂丈夫和妻子，分裂兄弟姐妹，分裂希望團結在一起的民族。”
