Millionarie Mind 紐約時報暢銷書中關於教育與財富的關係

這本出版於2001年的書，在用問卷研究百萬富翁時得到733人（全部是百萬富翁）的回應。所以樣本還是不小的。

書中有很多很有趣的數據（比如，50%的人是在家裏工作的；90%以上是大學生；52%是研究生以上學曆）。但是我今天想講的是有關教育的部分。

致富的必要條件（Financial Success Foundation）:

1. Integrity-- being honest with all people

2. Discipline-- applying self control

3. Social Skills -- getting along with people

4. A supportive spouse

5. Hard work -- more than most people

致富的充分條件：

1. 發現機會，願冒風險：Saw an opportunity that others ignored (發現別人忽略了的機會）and had the willingness to take financial risk given the promise of good return

2. 很強的領導能力：Most have strong leadership qualities

3. 產品獨特，與眾不同 :（do not follow the crowd!  Think different)

 

所以，我說，以上這三點才是培養子女的重點(5個必要條件是容易滿足的）！

我們要教孩子的敏銳的眼力和願冒風險的精神；

我們要教孩子的領導能力；

我們要教孩子的敢為天下先的品質。

 

大背景：一定要是大學生但不一定要是藤校生!  原話是：

Most of us did not attend selective or competitive schools, Nor, when surveyed, did we indicate that graduating from a top-rated college was important in explaining our economic success.

結論：

爬藤不是致富的充分條件。以上三點才是（在大背景前提下）！
