After World War II, a group of German prisoners of war are mistakenly sent to a Soviet camp run by the cruel commander Pavlov. This camp, run exclusively by women who have lost their loved ones during the conflict, treats the captives with cold hostility. Only the doctor Natalia tries to maintain a semblance of dignity. As she develops an ambiguous relationship with one of the prisoners, Natalia must accomplish a perilous mission: to identify the SS officers hidden among them. This is worth a viewing. Strong sense of historical detail. Rear guard issued M38 rifles, for example, as opposed to M44. Or buckets outside of civilians' apartments. Electricity of sorts was more easily restored than plumbing. Etc. Etc.

Stalin set the last German POWs free on September 1955. The initial startet in 1955 when the new German football Weltmeister played in Moskau against the Russians and lost 2:3. In 1954 the German won the Football Championship in Hungary 3:2, which was an amazing event for whole German nation. The German gouverment was strictly against this match in Moskau but the president of the German Football Association (Deutscher Fussballbund DFB), a former soldier who fought in WW 2 in Russia sent the team. It was a very friendly meeting of two former enemies. Just 3 weeks later German chanellor Konrad Adenauer went to Moskau and diplomtic relations were startet. And as an answer of Stalin the last POWs saw their homeland after more than 10 years of slave work in the Gulags.

OK! I'm done with YouTube or whomever it is that censors these videos! Why bother showing them if you will not show them as the producers intended? I'm not a pervert but for the love of Mike, stop censoring dialogue and scenes! If you don't like to show the film in it's entirety then don't show it at all! Never again will I watch a Cinefilm! You've ruined it for me and I hope for others with a little integrity.
