John F. Kennedy's Boston Garden Speech (November 14, 1960):

“If that call [to be] a liberal is a call to those who seek to preserve the values of our democracy, to advance the cause of justice and freedom, to ensure equal rights and equal opportunity for all Americans, then I proudly answer, ‘Yes, I am a liberal.’

In a time of growing affluence, we must not forget the problems of those who are left behind. We must act to make our economy more efficient and more equitable. We must ensure that our prosperity is shared, and we must protect the weakest and the poorest among us.

If that call to be a liberal is a call to extend the benefits of our society to every American and to ensure that the American dream is within the reach of all of our citizens, then I proudly answer, ‘Yes, I am a liberal.’”

In this speech, Kennedy embraced the term "liberal" as it related to his vision of social justice, economic opportunity, and the protection of individual rights. John F. Agreed! Nothing Patriotic about Trump.

Don’t confuse patriotism with idolatry.

On the evening of 7 April 1775, Samuel Johnson made a famous statement: "Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel."
He's a dictator in the waiting.
As a veteran, I agree 100%. These will forever be known as the dumb ages.

He just explained the real reason he returned to TheDailyShow... to do his part of making this world resemble one that he would prefer to live in. A true patriot!

Shoutout to the strong and nameless individuals who care for their community daily through direct action and mutual aid. It takes daily work and kindness from everyone

This is what confuses me about some Trump supporters. I heard people say that Trump made politics interesting. And I'm just like why? A car accident is interesting doesn't mean you want it to happen. So why do you want that from your politicians or politics.

Im 75 and admire you, dear soul.your humor is a lovely vacation from life's stress. I hope you receive the kindness you deserve. thank you for your efforts, john. love to all, marcia in Modesto, ca.

PTL: Live in the moment or coincident?

"When the camera pans to a clearly childless cat lady when Oprah mentions the word childless cat lady, and she looks behind her at other people to see what the cameras are pointing at, I never laughed so much in my life. Years from now, I think a small bit of me will still be laughing."

Bill is the only president in modern times to balance the budget and get us a surplus.

They probably don't even notice the tributes to Hannibal Lecter*, because he already blew their minds with stories about electrocution and sharks.

These undecided voters said Harris’ speech made up their minds. Hear why

These people illustrate why teaching critical thinking skills are vital.

I am very disappointed in CNN this guy is not an undecided voter he is a mega Trump supporter and CNN should have did your vetting more thoroughly. CNN needs to issue a correction and an apology to their viewers. With all the resources CNN have they should have investigated a little bit more to find out that this guy is a mega Trump. support.
It is a sad state of affairs when a woman says she will just not vote, so clear that she doesn't understand oppression and what the women before her had to fight for to have a voice in this country!
Also, Harris is one of the most experienced human beings to ever run for President in the United States, and a public servant for her entire life. Prosecutor. AG of largest state. Senator. VP for 4 years. To say she is not ready while saying that Trump was and is ready with his non-existent and limited experience shows your true colors.
