DIY - MeMadeFriday Cotton Sateen Circle Skirt

Every Friday I wear something memade.

Today I am wearing a circle skirt made with cotton sateen fabric.

The fabric is beautiful cotton sateen with a small amount of stretch. It has black, white, red and pink colors so it goes with a lot of my clothes.

However when I first made it at the end of summer, I didn't like it at all. You see, the cotton sateen fabric is very thick, I also lined it with a piece of sturdy old cotton sheet. As a result, the skirt is pretty heavy. At the time when I made it, I was still in the mood for colorful and flowy summer dress.

I picked this skirt up a few days ago after I bought my new winter boots. I found this skirt works very well with boots. It is a little longer than knee length. My legs are very comfortable under two thick layers of cotton.

A few more photos my son snapped for me right before going to work this morning. You can see that I am very happy with this skirt.
