七歲男孩的讀書之樂

聖誕節的時候，他大姨送給Kevin六七本初級Chapter Book 作禮物。七歲的老大自從星期三度假回來，就拿了一本 Chapter Book在看， 我看了一下，這次選的是Raymond and Graham， Dancing Dudes。
 
那本書裏有一個情景，是講兩個四年級的男孩， 在情人節來臨之前，醞釀給自己的女朋友寫一首詩。最後的結果當然是比較搞笑的了，書裏的打油詩是這樣的。

Kelly, Kelly,
You are like a bowl of jelly.
You are much prettier, Than Santa shaking jelly.

我家 老大一邊看一邊嗬嗬笑，然後靈感如泉湧， 和詩一首。

Kevin, kevin,He is seven.
He started cooking, on the oven.
He will go to HeavenWhen he is one hundred and seven.

書裏還有一個章節，是Raymond 在學校被人叫“Baby”, 感覺受了奇恥大辱，好哥們Graham， 就自高奮勇，做他的 “manly man coach”. Manly man rule No. 1, Never cry, Manly one rule no. 2, always write a note to your girl friend. 以此類推，都是一些小男孩的把戲。 但是吃晚飯的時候，七歲的老大 就開始 毛遂自薦，要當五歲的弟弟的 “manly man coach”，給他定了很多規矩，比如說 吃飯要自己吃啊，不需哭之類的，聽得我很開心。

星期天也沒有外出， 在家裏做飯，看看書，打打乒乓球，外邊白雪皚皚，一天就這樣過去了。
