The 8^th Grade Band will perform at the University Singletary Center on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 10:35 a.m.  This is an assessment performance by the Music Educators Association and is part of the Department of Education’s Program Review for schools throughout the state.  It is logistically impossible to send assessors to every school, so each district has the school bands go to a central location to be adjudicated.  At one time, this was a voluntary event, but it is now a requirement for schools to meet the standard for a proficient or distinguished school arts program.  It is our most important performance of the year and the students are very excited about representing our school and have worked extremely hard to prepare.  It is open to the public, so you may attend and cheer us on.
