今日空氣質量：GOOD
這幾日美國西部幾個州的山火連續出現在新聞報道中，給本來心情就壓抑無比的人們又多填了不少焦躁煩惱。在加州北部我們所在的小城，天氣預報顯示的空氣質量信息也是以very unhealthy, unhealthy, unhealthy for sensitive groups 等交替出現，一直到今天我們終於看到了GOOD ！
空氣汙染最嚴重的應該是9月9日。早上醒來，看到窗外混沌不清，查看手機，居然已接近每早例行騎車鍛煉的時間，但知道今天是不行了。別說外出騎車，連窗戶都不敢開了。悠哉緩慢地吃了個簡單的早飯，看著窗外，沒有絲毫改善的跡象。8點半開門出去，前後院各拍了一張照片。

知道這煙霧一時半會兒不會散，咱最不怕的是宅家。繼續追劇。接近9點了，無論如何每周三家附近的農貿市場不能誤了。武裝好後出門。往日還算熱鬧（按我們這裏的標準哈）的小市場今天蕭條了不少。

每次必買的甜玉米上落了不少煙灰。
離開市場時注意到車頂上的煙灰。（出門前是停在車庫裏的）
還是9月9日，6:28PM。傍晚情況略好一點。後院

之後幾天的空氣質量都很差，本已冷清的街上，隻會偶爾看到駛過的車輛和戴著口罩遛狗的人們。直到今天，9月18日。

這裏是火災多發區。2005年我們搬來時隻是聽說，還沒有見過大的火災。當時單位的同事們聊天說起那兩年多前的一次屬於縱火性質的火災，損失不是很大，但當時沒有找到肇事者。在座一位同事說是他兒子跟其朋友幹的。大家緘默不語。這位同事的兒子是個小混混。在加州北部犯了其他事逃跑到俄勒岡州躲起來，留在當地的女朋友臨產生孩子時又悄悄地溜回來。在醫院填寫孩子生父信息時被當地警局發現，並實行了逮捕。
這些年來周邊地區火情不斷，但大多數沒有人員傷亡，大部分是山火，當地的林業部門林業公司損失較大。而讓當地居民記憶猶新的應該是2018年的兩場大火。一是 Carr Fire，發生在2018年8月。

The Camp Fire is the subject of a 2019 Netflix documentary titled Fire in Paradise, and a PBS show in 2019.
