Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world
I, too, think about airport

General opinion makes out that we live in a world of separation and sadness,
war and disputes,
economic downturn and swine flu

I don’t see that

Love is everywhere
at the most random street corner
at the shadowy saddles of the mountain
at the middle of the desert
thousands miles away from home or,
even, at the hearts of two lovers about to be apart

Without a short apart
there will never be the joy of reunion

Like setting free of that little white dove of yours

dust of her wing and be the air underneath
