The River

The meadow is greener
Birds are still coming to eat
squirrels too
Azaleas just started blooming
If there is anything different
the air was frozen quiet in the house
Some now really wants to go back in mind
like a fish is trying to swim upstream
where the past had so much potential
and swept away long long journey ago
But now is heading to sea
