Winter Blues

Some houses would leave the Christmas lights on until March
so the winter nights wouldn't be as pale
Some take the trips to tropical attractions
where the sea and sky are immensely blue
I like the topaz color car so I could feel the wave blue
beyond the winter day gloom
But some complains it is such a sad color
it must have reminded them of the winter blues
or summer blues
Whether it is caused by night too long or day too long
too many flowers bloom or too many leaves doom
it must be our hearts that are really driving the seasonal mood
The bear though really offers a very good getaway
just to hibernate
if you don't want to feel blues
