Connecting

Two airplanes flew side by side
one big and one small, only about half a mile or less apart
They were heading to the same airport a few miles away
better connected by the tower

Two eagles circulated above at the same time
about 100 yards apart
They probably know each other
and crossing closely occasionally

People on the planes might see the eagles
the eagles didn't really care about the planes

There was a little boy between one and two years old
standing in the middle of passage inside Costco
watching hundreds of people walking by
He paused his eyes on me
I smiled back, he grinned
and we were connected for that five to ten seconds
until his Dad pulled him off to the side

It didn't take that many Q&A
to get our soul connected
Even when you are not in the service area
just thinking about each other leisurely
could show up in words
no picture is needed
