A Muggy Night

In a muggy night without many stars
Fluffy went for the night night walk
Here came our neighbor and Roxie
a night night pat and a play-around chase
There went a fox after a glimpse into our party
Here blew over a helicopter with only flashing red
as if there was some darker mission straight into the night
that reminded my neighbor of the flight path to Camp David
through our neighborhood, that no longer seems to be
Yap I played in Thurmont Maple Run
Not impressed by the course yet by the pictures of presidents
in the humble clubhouse; and those scary days
where sniper shooters were at large
everyone had to duck under at gas stations just in case
Relevant or not it was a good walk and talk in a muggy night
