經典回顧係列二： 美國爵士樂隊 Weather Report

Weather Report 是美國七，八十年代著名的爵士樂隊。它的主要成員是奧地利出生的鍵盤手 Joe Zawinul 和美國的薩克斯風手Wayne Shorter（最初成立時是捷克的貝斯手Miroslav Vitouš）。Weather Report 在Shorter加入後，開始轉向爵士-Funk-R&B 混合型音樂，更有其特色。

 

Weather Report was an American jazz band of the 1970s and early 1980s. The band was co-led by the Austrian-born keyboard player Joe Zawinul and the American saxophonist Wayne Shorter (and, initially, by Czech bass player Miroslav Vitouš). Other prominent members at various points in the band’s lifespan included Jaco Pastorius, Peter Erskine, Alphonso Johnson, Victor Bailey, Airto Moreira and Chester Thompson. In the conception of the band, the compositions are mostly pretexts for improvisations, with an essential role going to solo instrumentation.

謝謝喜歡，我會慢慢整理更多的作品。
我印象最深的一個Jazz club是在紐約NYU 附近，好像叫BLue 或者deep blue.

孤陋寡聞，沒有欣賞過他們的作品。Jazz能記住的名字是Louis Armstrong 和Duke Elliginton, both from the Netflex documentary serials “Jazz” by Ken Burns.

曾經在New Orleans 住過一段時間，最喜歡的就是餐廳裏的Jazz band, 喜歡他們的trumpet and saxophone, 非常的懷舊， 以至於有時候去紐約芝加哥，會有意打聽這樣的地方。現在喜歡看的jazz是Broadway show “Chicago”。
