A group of words that contains a subject, a verb, and a complete thought.

A sentence is the basic building block of good writing. To be a
complete sentence. A group of words must tell a complete thought.

Complete sentences are made up of a subject, a predicate, and a
complete thought. The subject of a sentence is the person or thing that
the sentence is about. The subject is a noun. The subject of the sentence
below is underlined.
Example: Tim is the oldest of three children.

The predicate (謂語) tells what the subject is or is doing. The predicate
contains the verb. The predicate in the sentence below is underlined.
The verb is put in parentheses. (圓括號)
