Most of my WangLian firends (the old ones who I should call them grandfather) ride bikes in Beijing until they are 90 or even later. One of them is 97 now with very good health and still talk to me in a much clear mind than many younger ones. I meet these people very easily. BTW, Li Ying has one copy of my poetry and he knows me many years ago when I was very young.
I am so happy to learn that Li Ying is your friend! and you just met him personally recently...
His "Zaolinchun Ji" (Poem Collection of the Village Zaolin) and "Beijiang Hongsihuo" (Lifes in the North Boarder) were my best readings in later 70's and early 80's... He nowadays still rides bike across the City of Beijing at this older age... good Man! my Hero!
Thank you for your comments about the poem. And sure I will write that poem for you after tomorrow or later soon when I get some free time. I had the experience, so don't worry about it.
Li Ying is one of my firends in the Chinese poem field and I saw him a half month ago. He's getting old now.

Very good! Right on the point!
"人的一生
隻要守住一個人
一顆心
就夠了"
"隻要內心平靜,日子過起來就會好很多"... ...
btw: Could you please write a poem about bicycling in the rain when you have a chance? Recently I rode to work in rain and was thinking about you writing about this fun experience; may be you should try a couple of times riding in the rain first? Stay safe though;-)
Also did you ever read poems by Li Ying (a good poem writer for the PLA, the Peoples Liberation Army in 70's and 80's)? Sometime I was thinking about him when reading yours. I posted his Wushi Yong at
