Tears Taste Like Blood

The city is in mourning, the nation is in mourning,
for a father figure who has a angel's heart, broken in the chilly mid Spring.
Quietly hundreds of puerile faces gather downstairs, in a small triangle place.
Hand in hand, the crowd is going to the sacred place to see him off.
I turn to her, a slim girl next to me dressess like a high schooler.
A little blush skims over her beautiful face.
Her hand is soft and cold.
We walk with the crowd in the street.
Facing the crowd in sorrow, line after line in uniform dissolves peacefully in the mass.
There is no fear and no tear,
We march on in the street, with only one destination.
In the heart of city, songs echo in the sky, as our tribute to the pure soul going to heaven.

Days and nights go by.
A hysterical female voice downstairs cut through the silent night.
Thirsty for blood, she agitates the naive flesh in the triangle place.
Failed to stop my buddy, we drink him to his journey to starving,
led by the woman with a poison tongue and a condemned heart.

In the square, sun is melting away the fresh bodies.
Next to my buddy, I see the slim girl dressess like a high schooler.
A smile comes to her pale face.
Her hand is soft and cold.
She refuses to leave the square with me.
She is starving her slim body for hope.
Can not stand by anymore, we go to the street,
ask for help to the helpless young lives suffering in the square.

The longest week comes to an end.
Trucks of soldiers are coming to the city before dawn.
The slim girl insists to come along, to stop the evil force.
In front of the armored trucks, I see tears in her eyes,
not for fear, but for the dimming hope.

The longest standoff between soldiers and students comes to an end.
Many yound lives perish with a colorful dream in the land giving birth to their love.
The slim girl survives and moves on.

P.S. The woman with a poison tongue and a dark heart fled the bloody city,
shamelessly proclaimed in public her right to live on,
so she would remember the taste of fresh blood with little remorse.
