Sunset by the River

Sunset by the river is seductive.
A breeze gently lifted Z's long hair,
and her face was glowing with the sunlight dancing in the river.
My fingers slipped from her shoulder to her waist and stopped at her hip - 
a slight tremble flew through my finger tips.
Her breath was getting shorter.
All was quiet in this tempting Summer.
 
Life would be back to normal after that night.

In a distance, a silhouette of a girl was in the river...
slowly she was moving toward the deeper side of the river.
A chill shot up in the back...
without a word, Z dragged me up, dashed to the girl in the water.
She was drunk, sobbing and murmuring. We pulled her back to the bank.
In Z's room, Z cleaned up the girl, calmed her down and talked her out of her madness.
Before dawn, the girl quietly fell asleep.
She was 17 - a beautiful and innocent life.

Life was back to normal after that night.
I received a letter from Z along with a letter from the young girl.
