Introducing Battery Maintainer/Tender

I have seen people in this forum running into frustrations when they returned from long vacations they could't start their cars. Some people have extra cars, or motorcycles but only riding it once in a while... As we know, car battery doesn't like deep cycles - each complete drain will make battery less rechargeable because of sulfate.  How to keep a battery ready all the time and extend the battery life?  Here is a solution:

Buy a battery float charger /battery maintainer and hook it up with your car battery. You can leave it connected for weeks, months or years.

There are couple of market leaders in this segment - Battery Tender by Deltran, Battery Minder by VDC Electronics... Their prices vary per spec, typically running about $30 or up.  There are cheap ones being sold in Freight Harbor Tools for about $7 (float charger).  I am using this one and no problem so far.
