凱倫木匠（Karen Carpenter）是我很喜歡的美國女歌手，她和哥哥迪克木匠（Richard Carpenter）當年是一個很棒的組合“木匠兄妹”（The Carpenters）。在國內的時候，我一聽到他們的歌曲就喜歡上了。記得當時，沒有找到他們的更多的信息，我一直在納悶《昨日重現》（Yesterday Once More）到底是誰唱的。
來到米國，有互聯網這個信息高速公路，作為流行音樂組合，他們的公開信息自然就不難找了。原來，凱倫是他們這個組合裏的主唱，這也就回答了我之前的問題。可是，讓我這根麵條惋惜的是，凱倫木匠過世得很早。由於厭食症引發的心髒衰竭，生於1950年的她於1983年突然去世，當時隻有32歲。據維基百科介紹，她的突然離世引起了公眾對於飲食失調的關注。
再後來，看到一個紀錄片，裏麵有不少對木匠哥哥的采訪，讓本麵條對他們的創作、演出生涯有了更多的了解。海倫起初打鼓，後來發現她唱得更好就改任主唱了；迪克則不僅會彈鋼琴，樂感很好，作曲也很厲害。另外，下麵這首《在世界之巔》（Top of the World），原來是他們乘私人飛機出去旅行演出，心情非常愉快的時候創作的，難怪。
在他們的歌曲裏麵，免不了有不少是憂傷甚至哀傷的，比如旋律非常動聽的《和愛再見》（Goodbye to Love）。有時候，我難免懷疑，會不會這些傷感的歌詞和音樂也影響到了海倫的心理健康？這當然純粹是瞎猜。如果她沒有那麽早過世，各位粉絲、麵條當然就有耳福可以聽更多的天籟之音，會有愉快的，也有傷感的，各人可以有各人的喜好。
現在2020年尾，我多愁善感地覺得，無論在這個世界上成就大小，我們都要愛護自己和家人的健康，包括心理健康和飲食健康。至於這不好笑的帖為什麽要發在笑壇，這還不清楚嗎？經常開口大笑不僅養肺，互相逗樂更調養心理；對社會充滿感恩讓人充滿正能量，時不時地用笑壇的方法報複社會則讓我們更愛吃、吃得更好。下麵貼的兩首木匠兄妹的歌曲，第一首隨時可聽，歌詞也貼在最下麵開心；第二首則心情好的時候可聽。
