49. To Valentize Everyday
At the nth Valentine's Day, I decided not to buy flowers this time. It's not that I don't like to feel being gouged - although the price of roses went up because of the occasion, it was still reasonable. What I'm thinking is that, instead of paying a lot attention to make one specific day romantic, I should make an effort to valentize everyday. For example, I can try to call her more often in the breaks during my work days, just to hear her voice and listen to what she has to say. I can also find more things to do over the weekends, which are meaningful in our relationship. To put it in another way, I should keep dating Ms. Diver and not take her for granted, especially years into our marriage.
