Matchbox 20

　　抒情搖滾樂隊“火柴盒20”(Matchbox 20)於1996年一舉成名，他們的歌曲有著十分優美的旋律，在主唱羅布·托馬斯(Rob Thomas)的帶領下，他們成為同時停留全美電台成人抒情榜與成人榜Top40最久的冠軍曲紀錄保持者。作風低調、不炒作新聞是樂隊的最大特色。

　　每當被問及樂隊名是怎樣來的時，他們都會現編一些故事：一次，正在大街上晃蕩的托馬斯發現了一個有著很酷logo的火柴盒，隨後他又撞見一件印有號碼20的靚衫……；樂隊成立之初，團員們都還是20歲的年紀，如今他們可是老多了，所以樂隊的名字也由原來的“火柴盒20”改成“火柴盒二十”(matchbox twenty)；在鼓手保羅·杜塞特(Paul Doucette)還在做侍應生的時候，一天，他穿了件十分花哨的衣服上麵綴滿了貼片，隻有數字20和“火柴盒”這幾個字能夠認出來，托馬斯覺得將它們組合在一起不但聽上去非常酷，而且也將會是一個出色的成衣品牌；除了這個名字，樂隊當時還考慮過“Joanie Loves Chachie”和“大鞋蜘蛛”(Big Shoe Spiders)。
