WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- Gilbert Arenas(阿倫納斯) and the slumping Washington Wizards try to get
back on track (阻擋)when they host(做客主場迎接) Tracy McGrady(麥格雷迪) and the Houston Rockets
on Wednesday. Despite a 43-point performance by Arenas, the Wizards opened a three-game
homestand with a 110-108 loss to the Sacramento(薩克拉門托,加州首府) Kings last Sunday. Arenas
connected on seven 3-pointers and Kwame Brown notched his first double-double of the season,
posting 10 points and 10 rebounds. Arenas is a strong candidate for NBA Player of the Month in
February, averaging 29 points per game - nearly five points over his season average - and
connecting on(還有) 45 percent of his shots(45%命中率). He scored over 30 points seven times
during that stretch and eclipsed 40 points twice. After a four-game winning streak brought them to
11 games over .500 (30-19) on February 11, the Wizards have lost five of their last six games.
Houston has won its last three games against the Wizards, including a 123-93 triumph at the Toyota
Center on February 15. McGrady collected 34 points and nine assists for the Rockets, while All-Star
Antawn Jamison paced the Wizards with 23 points. After losing three in a row, Houston picked up its
first win after the All-Star break on Tuesday with a 119-89 triumph over the Chicago Bulls. McGrady
scored 32 points and Mike James added 26 with four 3-pointers. James is averaging 22.5 points in
two games since being acquired from Milwaukee(雄鹿) before the trade deadline.
