《金發的珍妮》,斯特恩小提琴，哥倫比亞交響樂團，Milton Katims 指揮 《金發的珍妮》,帕爾曼小提琴，桑德斯鋼琴 《金發的珍妮》的小提琴版出自亞沙-海菲茨手.     《金發的珍妮》（Jeanie With The LIght Brown Hair) 是福斯特為妻子珍妮 （Jane McDowall）寫的，曲調優美動聽。實際上福斯特與珍妮的婚姻並不美滿，他們結婚後曾分居，團圓，最終再分居。     珍妮是一位漂亮的金發女郎，對音樂沒有特別的愛好，嫁給福斯特後，他們住在福斯特父母處。福斯特靠寫歌為生，因此生活不富裕。1846年福斯特搬到辛辛那提投靠哥哥的公司。在那兒福斯特寫一些歌，其中有《哦，蘇珊娜》。在辛辛那提，福斯特發表了《福斯特埃塞俄比亞旋律》，其中的一首《Nelly是位夫人》（Nelly Was A Lady) 被一個叫做 Christy Minstrels 歌舞團唱紅了。     福斯特回到賓州與 Christy Minstrels 簽了合同，開始為他們工作。福斯特最成功的階段是1850年至1854年，在這期間，福斯特發表了他的絕大部分歌曲，如《開普敦賽馬》，《家中的老人》，《我的肯塔基故鄉》，《金發的珍妮》等。那個時代人們對版權並不重視，福斯特出版自己的歌曲收入很少，而別的出版商印刷福斯特的歌曲，卻不付錢給福斯特，福斯特對此毫無辦法。1860年福斯特搬到紐約住，生活依然拮據。一年後妻子珍妮帶著女兒Marion回到賓州老家。珍妮在賓州鐵路局找了一份電報員的工作來養活自己和女兒。福斯特住在紐約，他嗜酒成性。 1864年新年剛過，福斯特持續發高熱，頭撞在旅館房間裏的洗臉盆上，讓人發現後送進醫院，三天後福斯特死去，終年38歲，人們在他的口袋裏隻發現38美分。     福斯特寫過不少有關黑人的歌曲，但是他從來沒有在南方住過。他唯一的一次去南方是婚後的蜜月旅行，坐船沿著密西西比河到新奧爾良。福斯特要求白人演員演唱有關黑人的歌時要有感情，不要取笑黑人。當時種族歧視盛行，福斯特這種精神非常可貴。 資料來自： http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Foster， http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/amex/foster/peopleevents/p_jfoster.html 中文演唱 《金發的珍妮》 電影《斯特芬-福斯特》中的一段 Jeannie With The Light Brown Hair I dream of Jeannie with the light brown hair Borne like a vapor on the summer air I see her tripping where the bright streams play Happy as the daisies that dance on her way.
