我最喜歡的聖誕歌曲

每年一過感恩節，就進入了節日時期， 家家開始懸掛聖誕燈，廣播裏也開始播放聖誕歌曲。二十多年，聽到的總是那幾首耳熟的歌；其中一些歌聽到和學唱得更早：如在大學學英文時，《鈴兒響叮當》就是人人愛唱的英文歌曲。

在這些聖誕歌裏，我最喜歡的是由約翰。藍儂（John Lennon）和她妻子Yoko 合寫合唱的《Happy Xmas（War Is Over）》。這隻歌寫於1971年，聖誕節在美國發行，72年在英國和世界發行。此時美國政府在國內國際壓力下，正在準備結束曆時多年的越南戰爭。


藍儂是積極的反戰活動份子，在這首歌裏，他把聖誕節和戰爭聯係起來。在節日中，盼望戰爭早日結束，人們都能忘掉戰爭的恐懼，過上和平開心的生活。在紐約街頭，他和Yoko為這支歌做的廣告就是“War is over if you want it”。


85年冬天，第一次在美國過聖誕節，也是第一次聽到這支歌。不像其它聖誕歌曲那樣歡快輕鬆，它有點淒苦，也有些期待。特別是孩子們的伴唱，讓人想到戰火中和貧困中的孩子，像是他們在祈求，在呼喊，在期待。也正是因為這種基調，我立刻就喜歡上了這支歌。以後的每一個聖誕節，我總是一遍一遍地聽，一次一次地唱。
