去阿拉斯加看什麽?  冰川，雪山，麥金利(北美最高峰），野生動物，海鮮, 北極光, 北極圈(Arctic Circle, 極地), 還有夏日午夜的太陽.

Fairbanks 在６月底１２：４８AM日落，２：５７AM日出。隻有２個小時沒有太陽，但是由於日出前與日落後的霞光，天空一直很亮。相對而言 fairbanks 算是個＂大＂城市，還是阿拉斯加大學所在地。１２月底是１０：５９AM日出，２：４０PM日落，隻有３個多小時日照時間。

在菲爾班克斯往東北走, 可以到育空河邊. 沿6號阿拉斯加公路到盡頭, 是一個稱為Circle的地方. 每年6月15日到25日, 沒有日出日落, 24小時可以看見太陽. 每年12月20日前後, 24小時不見太陽. 按定義此地應該屬於極地了, 可能是旅遊者最容易到達的極地地區. 此處是美國有人口常駐的最北邊的市鎮之一(約100居民), 在育空河邊, 最早是淘金的地方.

在菲爾班克斯往西北走, 沿Dalton Highway (連接2號阿拉斯加公路)可以到達北極圈:

The midnight sun circles the northern horizon and hides behind the Brooks Range. The best view is from the top of Gobblers Knob, 17 miles (27km) north of the Arctic Circle and 43 miles (69 km) south of Coldfoot, or north of Atigun Pass where you can experience a full 24 hours of sunlight.

Day1: flight to ANC (Anchorage)
Day2: Anchorage -> Homer, 219 mile, 5 hr, for bald eagle and the bay
Day3: Homer -> Seward, 169 mile, 4 hr, and walking to Exit Glacial
Day4: glacial cruise
Day5: Seward -> Valdez, 418 mile, 9 hr, for "Swiss in Alaska"
Day6: Valdez -> Fairbanks, 352 mile, 8 hr, passing the eastern Denali NP
Day7: Fairbanks -> Arctic Circle, 198 mile, 5-7.5 hr (10-15 hr round trip)
Day8-9: Fairbanks -> Anchorage, 361 mile, 7 hr, passing the western Denali NP and McKinley NP
Day10: ANC, fly back
