上帝：你好，你是不是呼叫我？
我：呼叫你？沒有啊，你是誰？
上帝：我是上帝。我聽到你的禱告，你希望我們能聊一下。
我：是啊，我確實在禱告——這能讓我心情舒服一點。但我現在確實很忙，我正在處理某件事情。
上帝：你究竟在忙些什麽？螞蟻也跟你一樣忙碌。
我：我也不知道自己在忙什麽？我就是找不到一點空閑時間。生活變得如此匆忙，每一分每一秒都顯得那麽急促。

上帝：是的。做事情隻能讓你變得忙碌，效率才能讓你獲得結果。做事情花費時間，而效率卻能幫你節省時間。
我：這我都懂，可我就是摸不著頭緒。順便提一下，我並不希望你用即時信息不斷地幹擾我的工作。
上帝：我覺得有必要向你闡明一些事情以幫助你擺脫跟時間無休止的鬥爭。在這個網絡時代，我選擇了讓你覺得舒適的溝通方式來跟你交流。
我：好吧。那你能告訴我麽，為什麽現在生活變得如此複雜？
上帝：停止分析生活吧，你隻需生活在其中，是分析讓你把生活變得如此複雜。
我：為什麽我們經常不開心？
上帝：你的今天是你昨天擔心的明天。你經常憂心忡忡，因為你不能停止分析生活，擔心已經成為你的習慣，你為此不開心。
我：那怎樣才能不擔心，畢竟生活中有這麽多不確定性。
上帝：不確定性是無法避免的，但是我們可以選擇是否去擔心它。
我：雖然是這樣，但是不確定性會給我們帶來很多痛苦。
上帝：痛苦是不可避免的，但我們可以選擇是否去承受它。
我：既然承受痛苦可以成為一種選擇，那為什麽優秀的人總是選擇去承受痛苦？
上帝：真金不怕火煉。優秀的人總是曆經考驗，但這並不意味著你因此必須承受痛苦。因為有了這些磨練，他們的生活應該變得更好，而不是更痛苦。
我：你的意思是說這些經曆有價值？
上帝：是的。在日常生活中，經曆是一個嚴厲的老師。她總是先給你考驗然後再告訴你人生的道理。
我：可是我們為什麽必須經受這些考驗？為什麽我不能遠離這些煩人的問題？
上帝：問題總是有針對性地設置障礙，但是它能為你提供有益的經驗。它能提升你的精神，提升你從奮鬥和忍耐中獲得的內在力量，這些都不是你遠離問題能夠獲得的。
我：恕我直言，深陷在問題的泥淖中，我們常不知道該往哪裏走。
上帝：如果往外看，你將不會知道你該往哪裏走，那就看看你的內心吧。往外看，你隻會無止境地夢想著能得到什麽；往內心裏看，你才能有所頓悟。眼睛讓你看到景象，心靈讓你富有遠見卓識。
我：有時候不能夠較快獲得成功比朝正確方向前進更讓我們受傷，我應該怎樣做？
上帝：成功是別人定義的，滿不滿意卻由自己內心決定。知道前方的道路比盲目往前衝更讓人舒服和滿意。你帶著指南針工作，讓別人帶著時鍾工作吧。
我：在艱難的時期，怎樣才能保持激情？
上帝：經常回頭看看你已經走了多遠而不是整天憂心你還要走多遠；經常慶幸你正在獲得的而不是懊悔你正在失去的。
我：人們有哪些事情讓你感到驚訝？
上帝：當承受失敗和痛苦時，他們問：“為什麽是我？”當他們獲得成功時，他們從不問：“為什麽是我？”每個人都希望真理站在他們一邊，卻沒有人想站在真理的一邊。
我：有時候我問自己是誰，為什麽會在這裏？我百思不得其解。
上帝：不要試圖找出你是誰，而是確定你要成為誰；不要試圖回答你為什麽會在這裏，而是確立你的目標。生活不是一個尋找的過程而是一個創造的過程。
我：我怎樣才能獲得最好的生活？
上帝：不帶悔意地麵對你的過去；充滿自信地把握你的現在；毫不畏懼地迎接你的未來。

God : Hello. Did you call me?

Me: Called you? N-no.. who is this?
God : This is GOD - I heard your prayers - thought we'd chat.
Me: Well, I do pray - makes me feel good - but I'm actually busy right now. I'm in the midst of something.
God : What're you busy at? Ants are busy, too.
Me: Don't know. But I can't find free time. Life has become hectic. It's rush hour all the time.

God : Sure. Activity gets you busy. But productivity gets you results. Activity consumes time. Productivity frees it.
Me: I understand, but I still can't figure it out. By the way, I was not expecting YOU to buzz me on instant messaging chat.
God : Well, I wanted to resolve your fight for time, by giving you some clarity. In this net era, I wanted to reach you through the medium you are comfortable with.

Me: Tell me, why has life become complicated now?
God : Stop analyzing life. Just live it. Analysis is what makes it complicated.
Me: Why are we then constantly unhappy?
God : Your today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. You are worrying because you are analyzing. Worrying has become your habit. That's why you are not happy.

Me: But how can we NOT worry when there is so much uncertainty?
God : Uncertainty is inevitable, but worrying is optional.
Me: But then, there is so much pain due to uncertainty. God : Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional.
Me: If suffering is optional, why do good people always suffer?

God : Diamonds cannot be polished without friction. Gold cannot be purified without fire. Good people go through trials but don't necessarily have to suffer because of them. With their experiences, their life ought to become better, not bitter.
Me: You mean to say such experiences are useful?
God : Yes. In everyday terms, Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first and the lessons afterwards.
Me: But still, why should we go through such tests? Why can't we be free from problems?

God : Problems are Purposeful Roadblocks Offering Beneficial Lessons (to) Enhance Mental Strength. Inner strength comes from struggle and endurance, not when you are free from problems.
Me: Frankly in the midst of so many problems, we don't know where we're heading....
God : If you look outside, you will not know where you are heading. Look inside. Looking outside, you dream. Looking inside, you awaken. Eyes provide sight. Heart provides insight.
Me: Sometimes not succeeding fast enough seems to hurt more than moving in the right direction. What should I do?

God : Success is a measure as decided by others. Satisfaction is a measure as decided by you. Knowing the road ahead is more satisfying than knowing you rode ahead. You work with the compass. Let others work with the clock.
Me: In tough times, how can we stay motivated?
God : Always look at how far you have come rather than how far you have to go. Always count your blessing, not what you are missing.
Me: What surprises you about people?

God : When they suffer they ask, "Why me?" When they prosper, they never ask, "Why me?" Everyone wishes to have truth on their side, yet few want to be on the side of the truth.
Me: Sometimes I ask, who am I? why am I here? I can't get the answer.
God : Seek not to find who you are, but to determine who you want to be. Stop looking for a purpose as to why you are here. Create it. Life is not a process of discovery but a process of creation.
Me: How can I get the best out of life?

God : Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear.
Me: One last question. Sometimes I feel my prayers are not answered.
God : There are no unanswered prayers. Sometimes the answer is simply NO.
Me: Thank you for this wonderful chat.

God : Well. Keep the faith and drop the fear. Don't believe your doubts and doubt your beliefs. Life is a mystery to solve not a problem to resolve. Trust me. Life is wonderful if you know how to live."
