嗟嗟臣工　　　哦各位助祭的大臣諸侯
敬爾在公　　　你們要恭敬於自己職守
王釐爾成　　　周王希望眾人同慶豐收
來諮來茹　　　特地請諸位來計劃籌謀
       
嗟嗟保介　　　哦勤奮的農民齊來工作
維莫之春　　　現在正是你們春耕時候
亦又何求　　　我們對百姓還有何要求
如何新畬　　　新田舊田又將如何分播
       
於皇來牟　　　看多麼美好健壯的麥種
將受厥明　　　未來必定會有盛大豐收
明昭上帝　　　上帝因光明之政而喜樂
迄用康年　　　祂賜下安康豐年當報酬
       
命我眾人　　　快快命令百姓民眾集合
庤乃錢鎛　　　好好儲備農具鏟子鋤頭
奄觀銍艾　　　勤奮者的鐮刀必多採收

Oh, ministers and feudal governors who assisted in the solemn ceremony
I want to see your full dedication and respect toward your duties
Let us all get together celebrating fruitful harvests
And planning for future works and schedules

Oh, my diligent farmers please come and work together
It is time for spring cultivating and planting
We have no further request of you
Nor will we divide old and new lands

Look, how good and strong are the seeds of the wheat
That will certainly yield ample produces
God our heavenly Father is pleased with our bright plans
He is rewarding us with abundant harvest and peace

Quickly gather the people and give them assignments
Prepare farming tools like shovels and hoes
The sickles of assiduous workers ensure plentiful produces


〈臣工〉是〈詩經．周頌〉的第十一首詩歌，其序文是「諸侯助祭，遣於廟也」。此詩的大意是，周公、成王之時，諸侯大臣於春朝之際協助天子舉行祭天大典，事成之後將歸，周王告誡和勉勵諸侯大臣們要行事光明，上帝才會用平安豐收獎賞他們，並希望眾人努力不懈，才會有好的收成。

「嗟嗟臣工，敬爾在公，王釐爾成，來諮來茹」的意思是：「諸侯來朝天子，有不純臣之義於其將歸，故於廟中正君臣之禮，其諸官卿大夫雲：敬女在君之事。王乃平理女之成功，女有事當來謀之。」

「嗟嗟保介，維莫之春，亦又何求，如何新畬」的意思是：「天子親載耒耜，措之於參保介之禦間，莫晚也。周之季春於夏，為孟春，諸侯朝周之春，故晚春，遣之其車右，以時事女歸當何求於民，將如新田畬田，何急其教農趨時也。」

「於皇來牟，將受厥明，明昭上帝，迄用康年」的意思是：「美哉！本赤烏所與俱來之牟麥，以瑞我周家大受其光明，謂得此牟麥之瑞而為天下所休慶也。此光明之事乃見於上帝，言為上帝所聞知也，至今用以此瑞之，故常有樂歲遂時和年，豐耕則必獲。」

「命我眾人，庤乃錢鎛，奄觀銍艾」的意思是：「汝可命我眾民，令之具汝所用錢鎛之田器，勤力以事農畝，於久必多銍刈，以此告勸下民使勤於田事。」
