What's going on?

Mon and J drove down North California to visit me on Friday, and they went back today. After they left for about an hour, Mon called me saying that Highway 5 was closed, and they were driving back now hope to pick up the maps from me. I was at my computer, I said there was no need to drive back, I could google the map and tell them the directions on the phone ........ then, my mother said ......................................................................
