行路莫忘讀書, 這是我今年看的不多幾本。

今年讀的書仍不多，以下是仔細讀過的：

1。 Memoirs of a Geisha (藝伎回憶錄)
我是在此書流行過後才開始讀的，因為想知道這本書為何如此暢銷。
剛讀過第一頁，我也真的被吸引了：那平靜的敘述，淒涼的生活，用直白的英語道
來，顯得十分逼真。斷斷續續，4個月裏，我把全書一個字母不漏的讀完了。掩卷輕
輕一聲歎息：女主人公的曲折人生路，何嚐不折射出你我的人生路。

感慨中，上amazon.com寫了這則書評：

Elusiveness of destiny, April 9 2006:
I read the book over a span of 4 months. I did this partly because of "no
time", but more because I viewed this experience as a long journey following
the tracks of Sayuri's life. And when I was slowly turning the last few
pages, my emotion silently rose like a evening tide. My tears finally overflowed
when I came to these words:"I cannot tell you what it is that guides us in
this life". To me, this sums up the elusiveness of destiny. It is this general
theme that makes the book so touching: every person in some extent would
go through the same journey from Chiyo to Sayuri. Do you really think the
book is only about the story of a geisha?

意猶未盡，又去書店買來一本，郵寄給國內教英語的朋友。又把我手裏的一本也寄
給了在國內的老弟。

電影出來，我一眼也沒瞄，生怕心目中的人物形像被演員給衝了。再說，我已不需
要電影來理解原作。

2。The Classic Feynman

這本書是兩本老書的合集：Surely You Are Joking, Mr Feynman 和 What Do YOU
Care What Other People Think? 講的物理學奇才費曼自己的故事。前一本的中譯
我早在國內讀研時就買來看過。這回看原文更精彩。不過，最精彩的還是此書帶的
那個光盤：是費曼有一次在一所大學的演講實錄，題目叫做“洛斯阿拉莫斯的基層
歲月”。雖說原文也在書裏，但是，這個講演卻比文字精彩不知多少倍！聽過這了
錄音，那本厚書都可以不看了！
難怪費曼物理講義很有名，他在Caltech當老師肯定很受歡迎，他的口才太棒了。

3。The Fan Club
這本書說英文名，您可能不熟悉，但它的中文本，就是一九八八年曾經洛陽紙貴的
<<玫瑰夢>>啊。我還記得同研究室的小邢特地借給我，還關照第二天得還，我是熬
夜看完的。至於內容，現在卻沒有多少印象了。
我今年突然好奇了：這到底是什麽書？怎麽那麽神秘？上網費了很大周折才查清，
此書原來叫The Fan Club，影迷會啊。趕緊從網上買來一本舊的(早不發行了)。

抽空看了幾頁，就把我逗樂了，敢情這書不是黃書，說的是正經事啊，你瞧這段：

The trouble is that the rich guys got richer -- richer in money and richer
in pussy, they got the cream of the crop -- and the leftovers were for the
rest of the world.

哈哈，這說的當年的美國社會呢，還是幾十年後的當今中國社會啊？！

4。 The Da Vinci's Code
這本書就不用多介紹了，看了書也看了電影。
情節不算太好，就是結論太離奇，基督教還是比較寬容的
