2008年四月份，享譽全球的流行歌後席琳迪翁在中國演出，接受了楊瀾的采訪，並為觀眾現場演唱她的幾首著名歌曲，其中一首就是震撼人心的奧運會歌曲《夢想的力量》。

《夢想的力量》出自當時全球流行音樂界最出色的音樂製作人之一大衛•福斯特。大衛是席琳迪翁的製作人，他很清楚席琳迪翁高亢、激昂的嗓音正適合演唱像奧運會這樣題材的歌曲，於是他為席琳迪翁量身定做了這首歌曲。歌曲告訴人們，隻要敢去想，那就是成功的開始。而席琳迪翁憑著她完美的演唱技巧和自身魅力，打破了以往奧運會開、閉幕式歌曲均為合唱的形式，由此，席琳迪翁成為了奧運史上第一位獨自演唱閉幕歌曲的歌手。

在亞特蘭大奧運會閉幕式上，由享譽全球的流行歌後席琳迪翁演唱的《The Power Of the Dream》（夢想的力量），將永不放棄的奧運精神演繹到了極致。
