令人動容的故事: 偉大的母愛！

     星期日上午, CCTV4播放了《愛的奉獻》宣傳係統大型賑災募捐活動的實況。主持人給大家講了這樣一個感人的故事。

     在汶川大地震的救災過程中，第二次餘震又要來臨，所有救護人員也被命令臨時撤離現場，這時候，一位搶救人員憑著敏銳的直覺發現一位婦女，她已經死了，是被垮塌下來的房子壓死的，透過那一堆廢墟的的間隙可以看到她死亡的姿勢，雙膝跪著，整個上身向前匍匐著，雙手扶著地支撐著身體，有些象古人從廢墟的空隙伸手進去確認了她已經死亡，又在衝著廢墟喊了幾聲，用撬棍在在磚頭上敲了幾下，裏麵沒有任何回應。當人群走到下一個建築物的時候，救援隊長忽然往回跑，邊跑變喊:"快過來"。他又來到她的屍體前，費力的把手伸進女人的身子底下摸索，他摸了幾下高聲的喊"有人，有個孩子，還活著!"。
 
     經過一番努力，人們小心的把擋著她的廢墟清理開，在她的身體下麵躺著她的三,四個月大的孩子，包在繈褓裏¸當搶救人員把嬰兒抱出來的時候，他還安靜的睡著，他熟睡的臉讓所有在場的人感到很溫暖。
 
     隨行的醫生過來解開被子準備做些檢查，發現有一部手機塞在被子裏，醫生下意識的看了下手機屏幕，發現屏幕上是一條已經寫好的短信:"親愛的孩子，如果你能活著，一定要記住媽媽愛你!"，看慣了生離死別的醫生卻在這一刻落淚了，手機傳遞著，每個看到短信的人都落淚......

Another touching story from Sichuan earth quake – The Heroic Mother
 
 
When the rescuers discovered her body, she was already dead, crushed under the collapsed building.  Under the debris, they were able to see the posture of her death.  Kneeling on both knees, her body was crunched slightly forward, her weight and the weight of the building, supported by her two arms.  This posture resembles the ancient Chinese kowtow, except her body was crushed into an abnormal and ghastly form.
Rescuers reached a hand through a crack between the debris and were able to ascertain that her pulse has stopped.  After yelling through the debris and knocking loudly on spare pieces of bricks with a shovel, they were satisfied there were no survivors still trapped under.  When the rescue team had turned toward the next fallen structure, the leader of the team suddenly turned and dashed back.
While he ran, he shouted, "Hurry! Come here!".  He came back to her corpse, used all his energy to reach under the woman and started feeling for something.  He suddenly screamed, "there's someone here, there's a child! Alive!".
 
    After a turmoil of struggle with the debris, they finally were able to clear her body.  Under her crunching torso, lies a baby wrapped in a yellow blanket edged with red ribbons, about 3 or 4 months old.
Because of the protection of his mother's body, he was unharmed.  When they took him out from under her body, he was still sleeping soundly.
The peaceful expression on his face gave all those present a feeling of warmth in their hearts.
 
    The team doctor opened the blanket wrapping the baby to search for injuries, but found a cell phone wrapped inside.  The doctor briefly glanced at the screen and saw an already typed message, "My precious baby, if you can survive, always remember that I love you".  The doctor who has already seen and become used to death partings, at this moment, had tears running down his face.  The cell phone was passed around the spectators, every pair of eyes welled up with tears after reading that simple sentence …

This is just one of many stories of those who suffered in this tragedy.  There are also countless other mothers who sacrificed themselves to save their children.  This tremendous maternal love gave her the strength to keep the weight of the building from crushing her baby.  After reading this heart wrenching story, my first reaction was to translated it so everyone speaking English can read and share it.

I'm not sure if there's a better translation somewhere on line, but I did the best I could to describe the circumstances as I read it in Chinese.  I hope this has given you all as much awareness of this tragedy as it gave me, and also an appreciation for our mothers who would give their life to save ours.  Please help as much as you can, every dollar given can save a life. )
