俺給大家簡單介紹一下這位流行音樂界的長青樹，Petula Clark。 Petula Clark出生在1932年11月15日，是一個英國歌唱家，演員和作曲家。最紅火年代要算是60年代。在世界範圍內有著七千萬張唱片銷售量的輝煌成就。這是她成為英國至今最為成功的歌唱藝術家。她是一顆流行音樂界的長青樹。從1954年到2005年跨度長達51年的歌唱生涯中，她的歌曲竟能時常登上國際流行歌曲排行榜。能上排行榜的跨越年代之久，這在流行音樂界無人能及。在眾多的上排行榜的歌曲中，最負盛名的還是這手'Downtown' 。盡管是英國人，她的作品卻受法國影響很大。她嫁給了一個法國人。很多地方幾乎變成了自然的法國人。50年代先在英國引起轟動，之後再在歐洲取得成功，然後名聲漸漸遠波北歐，加拿大，澳大利亞。最後一曲“Downtown”讓其走紅世界，當然也轟動了美國。“Downtown”這首歌僅僅在出爐9個月，便在至少20個國家裏銷售了3百萬張唱片，由此可見正此曲之成功。她演過30多部電影，錄製過上1000首歌曲，有159首登上了不同國家的排行榜。
