3. Prepare a desire heart and give an invitation:

After you build up more faith in God, to get closer to God, you also need to prepare a desire heart. You might say that of course you have a desire heart. But are you really ready?

(1) Are you ready to face the truth that God knows every thought of ours?

Remember that God knows everything about us and our every thought. But you might not be aware of it before. Now with Holy Spirit dwelling in, you will be aware that He knows every thought of yours. I remembered a friend once before said that it is good that people don't know the thoughts of each other, otherwise it would be terrible. I said then why not, there will be much less misunderstandings in that case. If you are in the former mood, you are not quite ready to walk with God yet. Are you willing to face the facts that you are transparent in front of God? Your thoughts not only get known by others, but by Holy Spirit from God who lives in you; who check your thoughts and deeds based on the Bible? Can you live in the piecing light from God? I am not writing these to scare you and we are not suppose to meet the specifications right away. It takes a while to adjust and Holy Spirit from Jesus Christ will help and pray for us to waive some of the immediate punishment. Actually, to be a saint, our fights against the sins of our body are a non-stopping battle till the body dies.

"For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account." (HEBREWS 4:12-13)

(2) Are you willing to obey God's words and disciplines?

We should be willing to accept Holy Spirit to discipline us and trim us to "take off our old self and put on the new self" (COLOSSIANS 3:10).

"When he (Holy Spirit) comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment:..." (JOHN 16:8) "Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?" (HEBREWS 12:7)

Otherwise, Holy Spirit won't like to stay long. Since God knows all and this trouble might be saved beforehand if you don't have any willingness. That might be another rock that blocks the exit of the spring of water of new life from Holy Spirit.

If you have a sincerely desire heart, you can give an invitation to ask Jesus Christ to take over the rights of your life and God will surely hear it. As I mentioned before that I didn't realize the significance when I said on the group Bible study last November - when I really believe that every word on Bible is true and know that we live in the age that God do the work the same as in the age of disciples -- that I will "To act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with God." (MICAH 6:8) Only when I retrospect several months later, it turned out to be a critical invitation and God did hear it.

Our bodies are God's temples that do get rebuilt by Jesus Christ in three days -- to whom all praises and thanks should be.

"Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you ... for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple." (1 CORINTHIANS 3:16-17)

"And I (Jesus) will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever - the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you." (JOHN 14:16-17)

"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body." (1 CORINTHIANS 6:19-20)

Knowing Holy Spirit:

As mentioned above, starting from last November, I experience the special grace from the LORD. However, since I have no any idea of the work of Holy Spirit, I simply took it as prayers got granted at the first 9 months. I thought it is all for the purpose of giving a testimony on LORD. On one hand, I was amazed that the relationship between man and God is completely different from the age of Old Testament and Jesus Christ did resurrect and rebuild the temple in 3 days; on the other hand, I often felt difficult to give all the testimonies to others for they are so detailed and trivial. But since without knowing about Holy Spirit at that time, I thought I must give testimonies on God’s work. So I prayed and asked LORD this question: “ What He ask of me to give me these experience?” The answer is: “If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.” (PHILIPPIANS 2:1-5) Right on the next day, a previous church friend sent me an email. I gave her this testimony in reply to her email.

I don't know that Holy Spirit is also a God besides Father and Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit's dwelling-in is normal for Christians until the end of this July, I happened to know that Holy Spirit's dwelling-in is actually normal for Christians as Jesus Christ promised to all the believers. Now I know that the real author of the letters in New Testament is actually Holy Spirit. That's why Peter and John's letters are the same good and Paul is more like an instrument of Holy Spirit as he claimed. ACTS is actually the account of the work of Holy Spirit who is the director and the one who shows all the power. Letters are mainly about how to follow Holy Spirit to get transformed to be like Jesus Christ. Now I also notice that many songs have the very truth in it which are inspired by Holy Spirit and also many are about Holy Spirit comes to my heart or Jesus Christ lives in my heart. (Because the Holy Spirit is from Jesus Christ.) The so-called "spiritual great man" should be called "man belong to great Spirit". They are the similar like you and me and only because they have faith and would like to let Holy Spirit to do the work and guild the way. It is magnificent news and a truth I didn't notice before. So I hasten to follow Holy Spirit and also try to learn more truth and write down these letters to share the grace I have known so that we will all grow up together.
