 Paining In

By the River Why
this century’s noise
fades away
like the lukewarm soup
from another great era

‘Long way we have traveled!’
He says while arranging
her hair, drying her lips
with his, waiting for the next
fresh wind the next
fresh kiss

‘Show me joy!’ She cries inside
facing the river
‘What kind of joy
do you want to feel? On which
shore, is your love hiding
in an apple tree?’

The silent river flows
through her night---a perfectly
executed uncertainty
like his gentle hands examining
every inch of her . . .
walls collapsing
doves flying heavenward
as he unbuttons her
blue blouse

The mystery of pain
echoes the undertone
of the dark current
I don’t know what
has made us travel this far
though love is still
a tiny flame surviving
a long, windy night

As our hair grows long
stars grow older
we keep telling each other
nothing has changed
We are ‘nothing’
passing through
Nothing

What is joy
but the journeying itself?
What is love
but pain in disguise?

I don’t know where to ransom
either of them
except the silent flow
of the river
like what you have given me
feels so real
painfully
real...

初讀這首詩歌的感覺也是暈暈乎乎的，很有古詩詞的那種含蓄美，又有新詩的跳躍性思維。似乎是說兩個戀人的初夜(其實想用這倆字做題目的)感覺，又讓人覺得除了對愛的渴望，快樂的追求，將來的憧憬~~~還有現實的無奈，曆史的思考，民族的深情~~~我說不好(佩服影雲知凡)，就象千江說的：感覺是‘很有內容的一首詩’。一開始也想‘翻譯’來著，因有幾個地方比較不好表達，最近也忙就放下了。看了三位的譯稿，去年那種推著我把《梅》和《紅酒與君子蘭》變成方塊字的衝動又出現了，於是忍不住也要來‘解讀’一番。再次申明：這隻是‘我的’解讀，不是‘翻譯’。不好表達的地方仍是故技重演，或去皮剔肉，或添油加醋 ~~~赫赫，老塘莫怪，重在參與交流麽~~~不過這次多讀了幾遍，在斷句上作了一些努力，希望能捉住一點原詩的節奏~~~那種飄忽、夢幻而又深沉的感覺 ~~~當然隻是希望而已。

錐心之痛

在欲問河畔

本世紀的喧囂淡出
漸流漸遠
正如溫吞的時光
從其它偉大的年代流來

‘我們跋涉已久！’
他說，手梳過
她的發際，一邊吮幹
她的唇，渴望著
下一陣清風，下一個
濕吻

‘給我快樂！’她麵朝河水
心中呐喊‘哪一種快樂是
你想要的？哪邊的
河岸，有你藏著愛情
的蘋果樹？’

靜靜的河水，流淌
穿過她的黑夜---完完全全地
帶出忐忑
好似他溫柔的手滑過
她的每一寸肌膚
粉牆坍塌
白鴿飛向天堂
他慢慢解開她的
藍色衣衫

神秘的痛
回應著
暗湧的囈語
真不知是什麽
叫我們跋涉這許久
愛的火苗，微弱
卻燃燒在這
冷風呼嘯的長夜

白發三千丈
星辰漸無光
你我一直傾訴
隻有虛無不會改變
我們就是‘虛無’，既沒來路
也無去處

是快樂
還是追尋快樂的征途？
是愛情
還是化裝過的痛苦？

我不知該去哪兒，求贖
這兩者之一
惟有靜靜流淌
的河流
象你給我的
感覺，那麽真實
椎心泣血的
真實
