A Christmas Without Snow ?

Maybe it's just me, I'd favor white Christmas. 

To me, snowing around Christmas has absolute magical and enchanting effects on the psyches of many people who live in the east coast. Picture this in your mind: you are elbowing with fellow pedestrians who are carrying tons of shopping bags on crowded streets, hearing the soft crushing sounds beneath your feet on the white powders as you'd rush in and out the stores to do the last-minute shopping and then taking a short break to join the people to admire the incredibly creative holiday lights and seasonal decorations in front of the display windows of major stores and boutiques at the nightfall...

So here is a thing,  without the white stuff, the holiday season becomes kind of listless and lame; you could think it as  the same way as if you'd watch a great action movie yet the soundtracks and dialog are all muted. Needless to say, the story line and plots become simply flat out if not flavorless.

It looks like this city may have a Christmas without snow in sight based on the weather guys' forecast. Anyway It doesn't matter anymore at this point, I am going to the south - the far south of the planet to spend a Christmas, But I still wish snow will fall during this holiday season when I return.

Do you know the facts ? Not a single snow flake is look alike, in addition, when it lands, it makes a little tiny sound if and only if you'd listen to it carefully. :)

With all my heart, I'd like to take a moment to wish my friends and their families a very merry Christmas and happy New Year!

Yes, you are right, since there is no snow in sight so I am now more than ready to go on a short vaca wrapped in warm sea breeze. :) I will surely following your reminder and "instructions" to do that just as I'm being told. :)

Please don't be sorry for the answers. Maybe, just maybe, not all questions can be answered or not everything is able to be replace in this world we live. Hopefully, the whole society as a collective "organ" would can learn from this tragedy so that the victims' 'blood will not shed in vain; giving time things would be getting better.

Hey ZR, sounds like you've finished your packing and are ready for the taste of a southern Christmas~~~ Look, I've had about 15 Christmas so far without snow, and you can tell I get so used to it and never miss a sigle Christmas shopping both online and at the mall:)) Oh, please don't be so dreadful if there is no snow or wood-burning fireplace at where you'd stay for this Christmas, just cherish the moments with the special someone and all the people you will meet during this holidays, exchange warm smiles and give greetings, even to total strangers you come across, you will find the true meanings of Christmas, I promise.

Sorry I can't think of a satisfying answer to your prior post even after a few days. The heart aches begin each time when I read the headlines and see the photos of those people in Sandy Hook. Somehow, I wished some kind of super nature would help all of us in search for the answers, and I also wished there would have been some kind of premonitions about last week's tragedy, but all I can do now is to pray for the 28 families in Conn. May the families find solace, someway, someday and somewhere...
