Just saw this saying. If it is correct, then we will know the way to increase happiness, either build up your ability or lower your expectation. Sounds very simple and I kinda of find some justifications now. :)
Happiness = Ability/Expectation
幸福 = 能力/期望值
Joy's reply: Since the numerator is fixed, what we can really do is to decrease the denominator....
My response: Actually the numerator is not fixed. The possible problem is when the numerator is increased, most likely the denominator will increase in the meantime – that’s human’s nature.
Marie's reply: Say, ability=expectation, does that mean 100% happiness? I doubt...if ability does not equal achievement....
My response: Hehe….I consider the ability of achieving your expectation is a kind of ability as well.
