Russell Crowe，不得不說，真正奧斯卡影帝，名不虛傳。繼在‘美麗心靈’中成功演繹數學家John Nash後，再次展示精采演技。‘角鬥士’中的硬漢，‘美麗心靈’中困惑掙紮的數學家，這一次，他將一個拳手、父親、丈夫、朋友。。更重要－－－男人的形象表演的栩栩如生。他那麵對兒子承諾時的堅定語氣，他那麵對朋友乞討時的尷尬眼神，他那麵對大碗牛肉的饑不責食，他那麵對拳擊對手的凶狠重擊的微笑。。。絕對的奧斯卡影帝水準的精采表演。
as close to trashes as they can be. No offense to all the die-hard fans. I almost quit watching any movie in theaters a long time ago. All the extras are good for movie industry, but without a good story line, movies will not survive.
I also agree with some of the people here. I really hate watching those "made-for-Oscar" movies. "Beautiful mind" is one of the worst jokes in Oscar history. To me, Russell Crowe's best per????ance was in "LA Confidential". He should have won Oscar for that role rather than his role as John Nash.
As for recent moview, "Closer" is one of the best. I couldn't believe it did not get any award in Oscar. One side note, I just watched Amadeus last weekend on DVD. It is far superior than any of the recent trashes. You should be able to enjoy it.
Of course, my all time favorite: Dogville. Cannot say enough about this masterpiece.

Like I said before, besides, high-tech, CAD effect, human imagination and feelings can not be replaced. I was disappointed by the flat fighting, and the dialogue inside the movie is like high school teenagers talking in a park.

But III is fine.
People like star war for a dream.. it was the dream they had 30 years ago and now they get to see it again.
Just like you see so many people in their 50s-60s love the colorful VW beetles, since that car was their dream 40 years ago. :) You cannot understand them but please don't criticize them.
2. Cinderella man is just another movie that got all the famous director and famous actors/actress to gain attention of Oscar mah. I'd say it is a good movie and I am impressed, plus Russel is one of my favorites, but just like "cast away" from Tom Hankes, and "Ray", we knew from beginning that it is targetted for Oscar, and somehow I am a bit sick of this kind of movie.
3. I love star war. Solute to Mr Lucas!!!

最近剛剛複習了“Rocky",昨晚36有拳王阿力。還有不久前的'million dollar baby“。
NEW YORK - The actor
Russell Crowe was arrested Monday morning for allegedly throwing a telephone at an employee of the Manhattan hotel where he was staying, police said.
Crowe, 41, who plays a boxer in his latest film "Cinderella Man," allegedly threw the phone at the Mercer Hotel employee, striking him in the face, during an argument at around 4:20 a.m., said police spokesman Sgt. Mike Wysokowski.
The Australian movie star was arrested and charged by police with second degree assault, Wysokowski said. Crowe was expected to appear in Manhattan Criminal Court later on Monday.
An employee who answered the phone at the Mercer Hotel in SoHo said he was unaware of the incident.
Crowe won the Academy Award for best actor for "Gladiator" in 2001
