西方教育的核心宗旨就是liberal art education，所有大學都是，除了Caltech和mit這種極端技校。

本科講究文理兼顧，要breadth而非專業depth。要孩子自由explore而不是上來就定專業。當然各個學校能做到多少不好說，尤其是資源有限的話就侵蝕了這個理想。這跟是否去LAC無關

感情教育是靠家庭和個人從小的經曆。
