我也沒看懂

首先那個gap year叫research year，也就是說學生需要向醫學院解釋因為自己的某個重大研究沒有完成，等完成後會嚴重提高自己的match結果。gap year是指學生沒有match上，等下一年再match。 

fellowship一般指完成住院醫生訓練後的專科訓練，比如內科的進入心髒科
